The Things They Don't Tell You About Disney! The Good The Bad The Queues

Hello My Lovies! I hope you are all having a great week or weekend! Now today's post is going to be about Disneyland Florida! and I just want to say before I get into this post! I LOVE Disneyland Florida and I would go back in a heart beat BUT theses things I was never told and I think I could have prepared more and a little less disappointed if I knew the things I am going to tell you.  Now if you haven't seen my blog post about Disney then I will link it here - DISNEY. I did have amazing time and me and my husband are planning on going back next year. This post is going to be some of the thing no one tells you about Disney.

The Queue's

Know I don't know if this is just me but I was not prepared for the Queue's and how many people are jammed into the park!... Like I don't know if it was just me and my husband but we was shocked!! You queue to get in, you queue in the stops, you queues for the rides you even queue for the toilets. Know I don't know if it's always like this or If I went at the wrong time of the year twice but It was bad! Now when I say queue for ride of course I knew that there would be queues but I don't know if its because of the heat but waiting over 1 hours plus for every single ride just had me going crazy! Know even with the queuing and how bad it sounds it didn't get us down we still had an amazing time, I found if one parked was rammed there was another park that wasn't that bad. A couple of days the queues where to much as we just went to a different Disney park and it wasn't to bad. So I would recommend doing this, if the park seems like it has WAYYYY to many people in just go to a different one ( if possible)  we was lucky and had a car. Also we never knew that if you pay for parking in one park you can go to another park and not paid!.  There was one day at the Magic Kingdom me and my husband could not even move it was so packed.

Here is a video of us trying to get out of the park.

The Heat

Now again this might just be me but I have been to Florida Twice and I think I just forget how HOT it is, like oh my! Its hot!!! Now if you come from a hot country you might be prepared but for me, a women who lives in the UK and bad.... super hot. Now I am deal with the heat when i'm not doing anything, just chilling by the pool but when your walking around for hours and waiting for rides! You need to take supplies. I was NOT prepared one the first day. Take water, loads of water!! or buy water when at the park, Packed light or don't take a bad at all!! On the first day I took a massive bag and I had to carry it all day - It wasn't fun. This might be a given but put LOADS of sun screen on! Wear a hat if you can! I didn't on the first day and I always remembered to take a hat after that.

Don't Wait!

Know another one I think most people will know is waiting for the rides. I never through we would be waiting for so long! I have been to Thorpe Park etc in the UK and I have waited for rides and I know parks get busy. Disney world wait times is a lot! and I don't mind toooo much it was a bit of a bummer but just be prepared that you may need to go back a couple of days to the same park to be able to ride on all the rides! The rides are AWESOME and so worth the wait. We went for 2 weeks and we didn't get to go on all the rides. The snow white ride every time we went was over 2 and a half hours wait and I just can not wait that long for a ride!! so we didn't get to go on it but if you can't get on rides don't get disheartened by it! just enjoyed yourself, if you let the waiting times and queues get to you it will ruin your holiday.  You can download the Disney App and this is very helpful with waiting times, I found this helped us a lot. One day we went to the Animal kingdom and the waiting time for the  safari was over 3 hours!! YES Over 3 hours! we went to a different park and keep checking the waiting times and after a few hours in a different park the ride went down to 30 mins so we drove over to Animal kingdom and got straight on!!

Oh The Many Photos

So as you can see we got a few photos taken when we was in Disney! But what I haven't told you is we had to queue up to get theses photos! Max time we had to wait was 20 mins and It's not that bad. we never knew this!! we just through people would be free to take photos and we would just go, but this is not the case, so be prepared if you want Disney to take photos you will have to wait in line. To make things a little awkward this also means you have a line of people watching you have your photos taken! for me I don't mind this I am used to this but for my husband he did find this a little uncomfortable and I am sure other people to. Now again this might just be the time we went I don't know, but both times in May and September I had the same.

That's it for me! now please don't let this post make you not want to go Disney because that's not what I am trying to do! Disney was AMAZING and I would go back! It's just a few things I was never made away of! and I think people should know!

I really hope you enjoyed

Thanks for reading!

  10. I've heard from a few people that the queues can get really bad. I know a few people who have paid for the queue jump passes. I know they're really expensive but I'm not sure if I could hack an hour plus for each ride, especially in the heat! I'm gad you still had a great time though x

  11. I have never been to Disney. One always hears about pros of visiting it, it is nice to hear about the cons as well. Lovely photos.

  12. I have not been to Disneyland since I was a kid. Of course I loved in then and thought it so magical. Now as an adult I feel differently. Beyond the over crowding which can take all the fun out of visiting the park as I hate crowds. But also the company itself and how it exploits it's workers that have turned off to the company as an adult Though over all you looked like you had great fun!

I went 3 times to Disneyland Paris and I guess that queues and crowds are the same on every Disney park, but I cannot help to love the experience anyway!
