Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and having a great week or weekend. Today's post is a very exciting one and I am so excited to be doing this. Have you ever thought of what it would be like to have a massive 10K budget to travel with? Where would I go? and how would you allocate your money to travel comfortably and see everything on your list without going over budget. Well I have! It was so exciting to do and I have had so much fun. I really hope you guys enjoy this post and get an understanding on how much it costs to travel. I hope this helps people to who are thinking of planning to travel. I have based my trips off a budget of 10,000 and this it includes everything from travel food and accommodation. So here we go, can I do this.
The first place I
would visit would be 100% Paris. I have been there before but I would just love
to go back. It is a beautiful city and a great place to travel to. Now to get
to Paris I have opted to get
The Euro star. This
cost for two people £202 on way.
Now for hotels, for
this I am going to be looking on Trivago.co.uk this site is amazing and you can
also get a hotel for cheaper. I have opted to stay in Paris for 2 nights. You
have got to always take in to count the closer you are to the city centre the more
you pay. I have opted to stay closer to the train station that is farther away
from the city centre but you pay less.
The hotel I went for
is about 10 minutes away from the train station and about 2 minutes from the
tube. This cost £196 and this includes breakfast.
You are going to have
to think about lunch and dinner and drinks. I have done my trip for 2 days so
will need 2 lunches and 2 dinners costing around £120. Now this is depending
how much you want to eat and also if you want to drink loads. I don't a lot and
not to fussed about eating in very fancy restaurants. So my budget for food and
drink would be £120. You also need to think about how you are going to get from
your hotel to the Effie tower and all the great locations. Now you could
walk, I did this and it took me around 5 hours to get from my hotel to the
Effie tower (it is hard work). Now if you don't like walking and come on
that is a pretty long walk, you can get the train and the trains in Paris are
not that much money. You will only need around £10-20 for the two days. The
last things you are going to need money for are the attractions and sights
and I would defiantly spend my budget money on this. This would included -
Walking up the Eiffel Tower £14 for two people
- Paris the louvre - £30
and then I would take about £100 in spending money for gifts or any other places I want to see.
In total this would cost £682 for the Pairs trip, Not to bad.
My Next place would be Rome, I have always wanted to see Rome It is so
beautiful and I have never been. Now I would need to get from Paris
to Charles de Gaulle Airport. This would cost around £50 from research I
have done. From the Airport to Rome airport this can cost £266 flying with Air
France. I have gone for Car hire for Rome and this cost £130 with all insurance
for 4 days.
Now for hotels I have made sure it has a car park this costs £600 for 4
nights.
Food and drinks I would take around £400 just to be on the safe
side.
Petrol I would take around £100-200
The total Cost of this Rome trip would be
£1,688
Glorious Grand Canal Tour - £100
Venice Walking Tour and Gondola Ride - £80
Venice Gondola Ride and Serenade - £80
This total would cost around £1,749
So far I have spend 4,119
Next place I would visit Is Amsterdam another place I have never been to
but have always wanted to see. Flights from Venice to Amsterdam would cost
around £200 easy yet. You can get a taxi or a tram from Airport to city centre,
trams are pretty cheap costing around £34. Hotel I looked on Trivago and I
found one for £507 for 2 nights. With hotels I am not going for the cheaper or
the most expensive I am going in between. This hotel includes breakfast so
for food and drink for 2 nights I would take around £200.
Anne Frank House - £40
Van Gogh Museum Entrance Ticket and Amsterdam Hop-On Hop-Off Boat Day Pass - £80
Total this trip would cost - £1,061
From here I would travel to Iceland this has always been on my bucket
list and I hope I get to go here on day. Now flying cost around £500 with
Iceland air. I found a lovely hotel for £600 not included breakfast for 3
nights. Now for food and drink I would take around £200. I have opted for taxi
from airport to hotel and this cost £100.
Golden Circle, Kerid Volcanic Crater, and Blue Lagoon Day Trip from Reykjavik - £240
Day Trip from Reykjavik: Small Group
Glacier Hiking & Ice Climbing Adventure on Solheimajokull Glacier. -
£400
This trip would cost a total of £2,200
I have now spent £7,380 trip for my last
trip.
I would fly from Iceland back to Gatwick and this would cost £200
with Easyjet. I would the fly Gatwick go to Edinburgh as I have never
been. This would cost £170. Hotels in Edinburgh for 3 nights cost £161. Food
and drink I would take £200
Edinburgh castle ticket - £40
Full-Day Trip to Loch Ness and the
Scottish Highlands - £100
This would cost me £701 leaving me with a hotel of £8,081 leaving me
with £1,919 and this would be what I would take for spending money on extra
bits I may need.
So here is a price down
I managed to travel to 6 different places I think this is pretty good
but very very expensive. As I said before this is not the cheapest that
you could do it for and this is based on two people travelling. I have had so
much fun doing this post.

ReplyDeleteI love the idea of this post. If there's one thing I've learned though, it's that every worthwhile trip has so many unexpected cost & I always end up spending $300-$800 more per trip than I originally think in my head. If you can stay to a budget w no surprises, power to you!
